Safety Conference, Calgary

On October 24, Mel had the privilege of speaking at the 2025 Indigenous Public Safety Conference in Calgary, Alberta, where he shared his story of resilience and leadership during the 2016 Fort McMurray wildfires. Mel was honoured to contribute his knowledge and experience during this valuable opportunity of collaboration with other community leaders.
